Our Story
AItocha was founded in 2024 from the intersection of technology, photography, and a very practical frustration: getting a great photo is often more complicated and expensive than it should be.
Traditional photography still has an important place, but it requires coordinating schedules, choosing locations, traveling, posing, and waiting for editing. Even after all that, a single photo session may produce only a limited number of finished images. Existing AI image generators offered more flexibility, but many struggled to preserve a person's actual likeness or required users to understand complicated prompts and technical settings.
AItocha began as an attempt to solve that problem personally: train an AI model from a set of ordinary selfies and use it to create a handful of better, more natural-looking headshots.
That initial idea quickly grew into something much larger.
Instead of building another general-purpose AI image generator, we created a platform centered on personalized AI photography. The photos you create belong to you. You can download, share, and use your generated images commercially in accordance with our terms - we do not claim ownership. We also treat training images as sensitive personal data: uploads are encrypted and automatically deleted after 30 days.

Greg Shaffer
Founder & CEO
Greg Shaffer has more than 25 years of experience working across technology, customer care, digital platforms, marketing, and business transformation. His career has focused on using technology to solve practical customer problems, improve complicated processes, and make advanced systems easier for everyday people to use.
His work has included enterprise customer-service platforms, automation, artificial intelligence, software development, digital experience design, and the implementation of AI-assisted tools used by customer-facing teams.
Greg is also a photographer and a parent. That combination shaped AItocha's direction from the beginning. He saw the creative potential of personalized AI photography but also recognized the shortcomings of early platforms: inconsistent likenesses, complicated workflows, unclear data practices, and limited safeguards for family photography.
Rather than treating those issues as problems to solve later, he built AItocha around them. The platform's focus on approachable photo packs, reusable personal models, user ownership, and patent-pending child safety technology reflects the belief that innovation and responsibility should develop together.
Greg remains directly involved in the platform's technology, product experience, safety systems, and future direction.
